Our mission
Give every defense drone manufacturer an auditable map of restricted-component exposure, supplier country-of-origin confidence, and replacement options — in minutes, not months. Compliance shouldn’t require a team of consultants and a wall of spreadsheets. It should be as straightforward as uploading a BOM.
Why drones specifically
The defense drone market is projected at $17.5 billion, yet it has zero purpose-built compliance tooling. Every contractor — from Skydio to the 25 Drone Dominance Program vendors — is running manual spreadsheet checks against NDAA Section 848, the American Security Drone Act, OFAC sanctions, BIS Entity List restrictions, CMMC requirements, FCC Covered List rules, and ITAR controls.
These regulations change quarterly. The BIS Affiliates Rule expanded the Entity List to 50%-owned subsidiaries in September 2025. The ASDA operational prohibition went live December 22, 2025. The FCC added UAS critical components to the Covered List in December 2025. A spreadsheet-based workflow cannot keep pace.
Founding team
Manufacturing engineering background (BS + MBA) with direct experience managing multi-tier supply chains, BOM compliance, and NDAA-regulated component qualification at a Fortune 500 OEM and a leading test & measurement firm. Deep expertise in supplier development, country-of-origin traceability, and production-scale quality systems.
Built DepChain because supply chain opacity was breaking production schedules — and nobody had tooling to fix it for defense drones.
Current status
DepChain is currently in beta. The platform ingests real Bills of Materials, screens every line against seven federal compliance regimes, maps multi-tier supplier relationships, and generates audit-grade compliance reports — all in minutes.
